Product Application:-

Di Sodium Phosphate (DSP) exhibits the buffering property with mild alkalinity and is a versatile source of Phosphate thus finding application in various industries such as:-

  • Boiler Water Conditioning :

Phosphate conditioning of boiler water is applied over a wide range of working pressures. Several phosphates are used for this purpose and the choice depends on the type of boiler and the composition of the feed water. Di Sodium Phosphate is often used if it is important to avoid high alkalinity in the boiler water.  To prevent the deposition of Calcium Phosphate in feed lines and economizers, a solution is usually pumped directly into the boiler.

  • Dyestuffs & Dyeing:-

Di Sodium Phosphate is used in preparing powders of many colors and dyestuffs.  It is a constituent of many recipes for dyeing fabrics which helps to stabilize the PH value and to produce more leveled shades. DSP is also incorporated in calico printing pastes.

  • Corrosion Inhibition:-

Di Sodium Phosphate can be used as a corrosion inhibitor by itself or mixed with other reagents in certain types of water.

  • Miscellaneous Uses of Di Sodium Phosphate
  1. As an important ingredient in fireproofing formulation of wood and textiles.
  2. For manufacturers of Opal Glass.
  3. For Purification of Clays.
  4. In Leather manufacturers.
  5. As a buffering additive for colorimetric and potentiometric analysis in Analytical investigation.
  6. As a Pharmaceuticals formulation.
  7. As a tonner in paint manufacture.

It is always advisable for customers to satisfy themselves by small-scale tests if necessary, that the product which they have selected is suitable for their purpose under their condition of use.

Storage:-

It is advisable to store the material in a cool & dry place at room temperature and in a covered shed.
